sometimes it actually can weigh more...some people just lay the carbon fiber over the plastics. which just adds weight and not lose it.

the benefits of unsprung weight saved are about 7-1 vs sprung weight. You just can't beat it.

Light weight wheels make a night and day difference in a bikes performance in EVER aspect of sport riding.

FWIW, those wheels are aluminum, not magnesium. They are way lighter than stock, but not as light as magnesium...
