Decent midrange helmet. They've got several different models ranging from basic low end protection to higher end stuff. Not equal to Arai / Shoei / Suomy, by any means. I think both Scorpion and HJC probably make better helmets.

I have a Shoei but It gets very hot riding too and from work.

I'd rather keep it for the track only and pick up another for daily commuting.

I have a KBC VR-2 and I really like it, its not that heavy and its really comfortable. I wish mine had MORE airflow for houston summers though. with the vents closed there is no airflow at all.
But yeah I've worn it for 8+ hours a day and its not uncomfortable at all I think its a great helmet for the price.

My Scorpion has been a great helmet. Can't beat the prices.

According to the KBC website the VR-2 is intended as roadracing helmet so with high track speeds in mind, they intentionally kept the vents to a minimum.

You should probably have gotten one that was intended for street riding (more vents)

You should probably compare specific helmet models, no?

My wife likes her KBC, fits well.

My HJC has better venting than hers, at least functionally.
