Brand new Brickhouse Tavern...

I was down in Galveston, this pass Weekend & I saw That they were building a brand new one, on the seawall...right near "The spot"! Looks like it will be complete this early Summer.
I for one, like that establishment, plus Galveston needed some new watering holes on the seawall. I hope they put in a good covered patio, close to some good bike parking!

Might have to set up a ride & Meet & Greet for the Grand Opening & break it in MotoHouston style!

New Brick House on the island

Grand Opening is Monday May 16th!
This location has it's very own Bike Parking Lot next to the patio with barriers to keep cars and trucks out! The patio is fully covered and seats over a 100 people, with a great view of the gulf. Open air bar on two sides. Large Fire Pit on the patio as well. This will truly be a great place to be and be seen on the island! See you all there!

I love Brick House. It should be a nice addition to the Seawall.

Parking sounds better than the spot. always get nervous with those four seated bicycles rolling right by on the sidewalk

Brickhouse Bike Parking

Yup, and this one has it's own gate/entry into the patio from the private parking. Finally... a bar that caters to us!!!! Woohoo!

Is that 100% for sure?
Wonder why they would have a Grand Opening on a Monday?

I'm off on that Monday if anybody wants to roll out there, that day & do recon on the female staff, food, patio, parking, etc. LMK!

The Spot, has added a 2nd tier deck over the existing bar to try & compete with the BrickHouse, but its all about Bike parking for me. It only takes one drunk driver to take out all the bikes, parked so close to the Sea wall street, out front of the Spot.
I have seen two close calls of people, almost getting hit, either pulling in or out from there as well. Just too many distractions & cagers not paying attention.

Here it is (or was) a few months ago during construction

184674 1568328690882 1315391214 1218402 7865094 n

Not a fan only because that means less parking at The Spot!

doubt that it bothers the owners of "The Spot" much at all because there are a lot of people, like me, who wouldn't walk across the street to go to a Brick House.

Food is only average and the menu list of items is limited.

Limited menu? Have you been to the Spot? IMO brickhouse's food is above average.

went to the new Brick House Friday evening.

Only a so-so crowd but the girls working it are much better looking than ones I have been in before. It was very windy so managed to get an eye full of sand and it was really too windy to sit outside.

As an added bonus, found out a very attractive lady I know works there.

And the Shiner Bock was cold.
