This is pretty much how it happened but the driver wasn't trying to get on the freeway. She was making a left onto rankin from northborough. The motorcyclist was geared up....unfortunate incident on both sides.

The practice of posting every motorcycle death anybody hears about is very peculiar.

I assume this is Rankin between old hardy and I-45?

The whole stretch is nasty and it was rare if there wasn't at least one accident a month on that section. I lost two rims, and then later the fz-6 on that part of rankin.

...and again sunday.

Quote:
A motorcyclist in northern Harris County died early Sunday after a truck driver turned into his path, hit him and then fled the scene, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies later apprehended the pickup driver, Carlos Loris Lengua, who submitted to a breath test that showed he was intoxicated beyond legal limits, according to the sheriff's office.

Lengua failed to yield the right of way to the oncoming motorcyclist, Carlton Neal Bare, 39, making a left turn into his path in the 400 block of Rankin Road about 12:55 a.m. on Sunday.

Bare, of Spring, applied his brakes, but slammed into the truck and was thrown from his motorcycle.

The practice of constantly complaining about rider down threads just because you didn't know the guy is very peculiar.

Either way, here's one example of why posting them all may be a good thing:

If they all helped one more person be more cautious, then perhaps it was worth it.

And RIP to the fallen rider.

I think that its pretty functional, keeps people on their toes and hopefully gets the point across that it could very well be them someday and the risks are very very real

Will be interesting if this guy goes to jail. Listening to the news this morning they said he was a member of the bandidos (can not confirm, just what I heard on the morning news). If that is true the guy will probably be in for some hurt.
