I wish there were more color schemes offered for the gladius in the U.S. White/blue and solid black just don't do it for me like red/gray does.

They look clean because they're new, but man - I just can't get into the look. Maybe if you put some plastic on the front, bottom and sides and dropped the handlebars down it would help . . . .

theres some badass custom streetfighters, most of them are the trashed out style but theres some clean ones and even a few track bikes i seen that i really like.

keeping the sides open is the biggest thing, belly pans and minimal plastic accents are common.

If you do all that, then its just another streetbike

I love streetbikes, but there is something about an exposed engine that just screams "MUSCLE"!

Ha ha - that was my point!! lol... It's a matter of personal preference. Some people don't like beef flavored icecream. I like them covered. (bikes that is - not girls) I prefer track plastic to street. When I get a bike I buy track plastic for it and put the stock stuff on the shelf.
When I first saw naked bike showing up in the 80's I thought they were cool, then like a good politician I flip-flopped back.

My next bike WILL be naked. I really like the Streetfighter, but don't want to pay Ducati prices. It's between the Honda and the Kawi.

So you don't ride on the street?

- The bike I own
- All the bikes I used to own which I still list so everyone on the forums will know how cool I am

I looked into snagging one of those cb1000r's before I got the R1, and good luck getting a deal on those. They are going to be produced in limited quantity, so getting a deal on them will be next to impossible.

Totally understandable! In a perfect world, I'd have a sportbike, naked/streetfighter, a motard, and a cruiser.

As it is I just have a streetfighter, but my parents pretty well have the other bikes covered so I take them out to...ahem...charge the battery- yeah thats it!

For the record, when money is right, I'd like to build a track SV650 and a hooligan street machine motard again

I know the Hondas have been in production since 08' in Europe. I wonder why the delay to bring them to the US?
