If you won the lotto....

what would you do with the money??

The lotto is at 164 million right now. WHich means if you took a lump sum payment youd get about 42% after taxes and fees were taken out. So pretty much you just won $68,880,000 and the deposited it in your bank account.

I would probably give my parents 10% of it for putting up with all the I did back in High School, and pretty much giving me a life that most don't get. That should pay off the house and our current investment properties, and have a couple cool million left over

I'd for sure expand my current stock portfolio, and prolly quit my job (as much as i love it) and start buying up proven franchises.....

did you know an avg mcdonalds costs 300k to buy, takes about 2.5 years to pay off with its own profits, and then have a steady stream of income you never work for...it just keeps coming if you have a good mgt team.

the guy who owns the mcd's next to Clear lake high school said he makes ~$100k+/- from it every year..and he doesnt do .

Then i'd prolly buy a townhouse in midtown and a fwe toys here and there.

That kind of money you don't need to invest in anything just live off the amount as the way you live now and you still have plenty left over for your children. Don't forget me when you win, okay?

i noticed that in this one liquor store near UH, they had a sign that siad change larger than $ will no longer be accepted....i talked the the owner who said that the bums would use pennies nickels and whatever to buy loose cigarettes and single cans of beer.

thats why the rich get richer, and the poor (for the most part) dont get rich.

i guess i'm speaking as a stock broker's kid...its pretty crazy what stories she and her co workers said of trustees of an estate blowing a lot of money on worthless that gets them further into debt.

my favorite story is from one of her coworkers .....

son of a venture capitalist gained 33% (close to 800k liquid, 1.1mil in business) of his dad's estate after he dies....he blew it 3 years going on a non stop buying binge.

Key things to remeber when winning the lotto *BIG AMOUNT*

Dont tell anyone you won

BUY everything, dont be in debt, pay for it in full

Keep at least 1/2 in over seas bank acount *govt cant touch*

keep at least 1min in cash for backup

Always have a way out, "i can do this if i run outa money"

Mabye even have a part time job...

prolly....but he was thinking short term...he got into serious debt cause after the money ran thin...he couldnt afford the cars, house, boat, and i think motorocycles.

so rags to riches....back to rags...not my kind of fun.

but i guess if you like to live nice for a few, then be in the ..thats your deal....

i'm well off, and hopefully ill keep getting more $$ in the bank.
