It was fun rewatching with Po-Po, who hadnt seen it yet. He'd get all excited about Spies, then sad, all excited about Edwards, then sad. The emotional rollercoaster was rough yesterday.

Couple of things I wanted to talk about here concerning the race:

1. I don't like Lorenzo, but you have to give the man props for his riding Sunday. He kept it clean and fast. Earned his podium spot.

2. Did anyone else notice how out of shape Rossi's Duc looked when he was charging up the pack? Is the Duc really in that bad of shape?

3. Hayden...maybe Ducati needs to hire someone to seed clouds before every race so tey can get the guy a few more podiums.

4. Lorenzo did have one moment at the start. It sure looked like he made extra effort to come across the grid and stuff up Spies straight away.

Did you watch the proceedings? They helped Rossi up, got him back on the bike, AND got him push started.....all while Stoner picked up his own bike, got back on, and then one dude peeled off Rossi after Stoner started yelling.

you need to watch it with Alberto, one minute he's doing the jig like he's in some Rio street carnival, then he goes all Jason and starts picking up knives and and then we have to hide the samurai sword so he doesn't fall on it
He's pretty passionate

Oh and even before winter testing I said Jlo for 2011,
he's developed into an awesome rider and worthy champion,
still can't stand his theatrics and his blatent mimicking of rossi though

Lorenzo does, as of now, look to have it under control for the season, BUT Stoner on the Honda will be up his all year so who knows.

The Ducatis...........done. If you watched the privateer bike it was CONSTANTLY head-shaking, and both factory bikes wiggled a bit. The bike flat out has problems, and as good of a development rider as Rossi is.......I'm not convinced even he can fix that thing.

so where's the down side

Wasn't Rossi's bike running????

In all seriousness I thought both handled it well,
Rossi for being man enough to immediately go over to stoner after the race and apologies and Stoner for taking it kinda well, (for him)

The downside is that impartial race stewards, as they should be, should have attempted to help BOTH riders as opposed to cupping Rossi's , and letting Stoner fend for himself.

Rossi/JB will get there, there's no doubt in my mind about that.
I'll wager the carbon fibre chassis will be gone for 2012.

Is the full chassis carbon? I knew the swingarm was. That thought (that the problem was the carbon) did cross my mind during the race.

Yes it is.
Ducati are working to fabricate a "softer" version was the last I read.

I figured their problem was too much flex.

You make a good point. I believe the corner workers' first responsibility is to clear the track. Therefore, it makes sense to get the bike that was still running up and out of the way.

I dont like jlo either but he did ride good

yeah rossi looked outta shape but like you said he was charging for the front and it was wet out so yeah I can see why he was all over the place

lmao at the hayden comment.. besides the fact that I am a hayden fan you have to take into consideration that just like jlo he rode a good race by keeping it upright when everyone else was crashing out. I would have rather seen colin get 3rd though
