The commentator had the best line ever for that one.

"Poor Stoner. The front end of the Ducati has wrecked him out several times last season and now it does it when he's not even on the bike"

Brilliant.

Alberto,
when the GOAT comes roaring up behind Stoner on his way to the front it's like an LEO behind you on his way to a 911,
you better GTFO of the way

What was Stoner doing so far back anyway, this new fastest man on earth???

Rossi made a hard charge to take Stoner on the inside of turn 1 (i think it was 1) and lost the front wiping out both him and Stoner. It was a bad move on his part. He over extended and couldn't recover on the brakes going into the turn.

From what I read, Stoner accepted it as a racing mistake. He was more that 15 track stewards helped Rossi back onto the track as Stoner was left sitting on his bike screaming for help to bump start and get back into the race.

If you're being an impartial race steward......everyone. If you and your buddies are helping your favorite. Well, that's different.
