Grimace, you ride a zzr6 correct? Compared to a SS bike, your pegs are lower by close to an inch, even with aftermarket rearsets. So you can drag them much easier than someone on a GSXR. On the old skool bikes you need to get off the bike more and use less lean angle. You can also raise the bike up with shims in the back to quicken the steering and gain a little more clearance.

Good information. Thank you.

For the record the ZZR600 05-08 is the same thing as a ZX6R marketed from 2000-2002 (except for minor engine upgrades on the ZZR). I know I'm spliting hairs but even insurance companies classify it as a SS. ZZR 07 = ZX6R J7

LOL! Wasn't trying to down it.. just laugh when peeps "assume" all the SS 600 bikes are the same... my 12R has similar issues with peg location, compared to a newer 1K bike.

But if your aftermarket rearset pegs don't fold, be careful dragging them too hard, as they can "lever" the rear tire loose.

If you want to compare I'll be around tomorrow.. putting the fairings back on and cleaning up for Coach's ride.

Looks like I have a full day tommorow, and I don't doubt your words, so I'll pass for now. I wish I could meet for that ride though
