In a parking garage with a rubber band on the brake lever works well. I'd like to see it with a group. Pure darkness doesn't work cause the bikeself doesn't get lit at all. Might play with long exposures to make it work.

Or photographer on the top level shooting down at the ramp that goes up to that level. Get some height, but not birds eye view.
But these need a garage that they won't mind that much noise/activity.

I have the equipment including studio lighting even muslins to take some high quality photos, and depending on when and where could dedicate some of my time and skills to the idea, I've been doing photography professionally for 8 years and as a hobby for 15. I also know some secluded roads with nice turns for some action shots.Figured I'd offer even though their are more then a few pro shooters amd hobby shooters here as well.
Let me know

A place that MIGHT work is the Dillards parking lot across from PP1. I think there's a parking garage to the SW of the parking lot and that would be facing PP1 etc.

Go out there early on a sunday morning with little to no traffic and the whole place is ours. , I might even go out there and check it out to see what an arial view from the parking garage might get us.

Wait, is that place even still Dillards?

Maybe even Uptown Park where they used to have the Coffee and Cars meet.

ya i think the best spot would be on the east end on galveston on cherry hill... its real long and can fit thousands of bikes and has good photography views and it would give everyone a good cruise on the seawall... either way im down so let me no when and where

Wow, so many places

If anyone has any pictures of the places they are talking about... please feel free to post them up in here. The more ideas to choose from the better.

The "Hill" in Galveston is often referred to as cherry hill I believe. Cool spot but cops often run you off pretty quick

I'm thinking Houston would be a better central location for everyone vs Galveston.
Not that I'm opposed, just saying. Some riders from NW or Katy might not have that much time to devote to ride so far for a picture. Especially if they have kids, job, etc.

I am no photographer, but I will try to go and find a couple of spots that might work.

I am wanting to keep it as central as possible to get the best turnout.

but for the action shots, I am willing to put a bit of travel time into it (to a extent)

yea, but I do not know how far people are willing to ride.

Perhaps if this one goes well we can have a nice galveston cruise/picture day since the weather is getting nice.

I just emailed the girl that could be doing the shooting to see if she is up to it. I told her the large shot on the sabine street bridge is the only required shot but everything else will be left to her.

Also I want most of the shots to be city based shots, so downtown is where it will mostly take place at.

If she agrees then we will move forward with setting a date and such.
