New to Riding

Hi, I am new to the Houston TX area came here from SC, 3 weeks ago. I am also new to riding. My boyfriend got me interested in it and took me to look at some bikes to get a feel for them and ended up buying me a 2011 Ninja 250r it is white and black. Pretty sweet bike so I have only had it for 5 days and have already managed to lay her down. Instead of looking through the curve I got nervous and looked at the curb went to correct myself and when I did I hit the break and yep you know it down we went. Live and learn. I take the MSF course next weekend I am getting really excited about that. Anyway thats just alittle about me so Hello MotoHouston and look forward to learning more and getting more experienced because it sure is alot of fun.

Welcome! After a bit of time on the bike, start hitting the meets and routes. 250s are great fun on back-roads. Also, get into good habits now with maintenance. Make it a habit to check your tire pressure, oil level, and chain. It is much easier to learn it right the first time than to relearn it a year or two later.
