I checked the weather channel too and there was not mention of rain...typical weather men, don't have a clue.

I think it is going to clear up later...but right now it's not looking good. Roads are wet and water is falling from the sky.

Wet by reliant as well. Afternoon should be great. Stay away from reliant and galleria today because of the ncaa game

Riding in from Pearland, there was drizzle and the roads were a little wet but it looks like it's clearing up now

It's wet out here, but it's not raining and the roads will be dry by noon... once the sun comes out the roads dry up like a protestant hoochy...

How did I miss you??? I was at the Exxon in Fullshear from 10:30 til 11:00... had to wait for a couple of big semi's hauling petro-chem equipment to go through the intersection... it was like a national holiday for the people in Fullshear... they all came out of their bungalows and cottages with cameras and iced tea and stood around saying things like " wow... you sure don't' see that every day "... it was pretty comical... Right before I split to go ride some guy on an old school ninjette went by (any of your group?) ... and then I just hit it hard and heavy for a couple hours and came home... FWIW the rain actually helped smooth out the highway on RR... the ground must have been cracking underneath it and the rain soaked into it enough to smooth out the nasty parts... and 1489 was a DREAM today... except for the mojado that was coming at me in my lane trying to drift his "chebby"... I promptly gave him the 1 finger salute and kept on my line... I need to get a photo of that... dragging my knee through a turn shooting the bird with my off hand... that has to look cool as ...

I did have a little bit of fun today (besides the aforementioned, missed photo-op)... a guy on a bright, red ZX-14 (he was obviously not very experienced) was out on RR... I passed him in a straight going about 90 (he was going about 50 or 60) and then he FLEW past me well into his high end triple digits (I had to check to make sure I was still moving) ... well, as soon as we got to the curvy bits his hit the brakes and I went sling-shotting past him well into my lower triple digits (my bike only goes 135-140 downhill with a tailwind and someone on a liter bike giving me a pull ... in the turns I've been keeping it around 100-120 so I'll still have some revs to pull the bike outta the corner with... since I leveled out my suspension it's like a whole new bike)... anyway... he sped up again and passed me in the straight and then I leap frogged him again in the curve... and again and again ... then on the last turn before my house (it's a double apex that starts nice and wide and then narrows and then switches back into a hard right hander that opens up late right before my road) as I went under and passed him he tried to gas it and cut the turn sharper than needed and I think it scared the out of him because he stood his bike straight up, pulled over and stopped... I turned off onto my road to see if he was OK and he pulled his helmet off, got off his bike and the whole 9 yards...it was pretty damned funny... I just went on home, and from my driveway I could see him sitting there "thinking hard about life"... $1500 SV650 FTW!!!!! LOL

Too bad I didn't run into you guys... it would have been cool to see if i could keep up with y'all on your "slow day"... LOL

I didn't see any other sport bikes... just a lot of harleys and harley wanna-bees...

That's why I was wondering how I missed S.R.'s group... they must have taken I-10 instead of 359 to get RR... I spent most of my time on 1489 and only did a couple laps on 1458 (aka Racer's)...

I even missed the crew for the poker run... was hoping to see PJ on her Benelli...

those tacos are pretty good but they are WAY over priced... We must have just missed each other when y'all split.
