None taken, but I must have missed something. It looked to me like the RPS-10 had some pretty good ratings

HJC RPS-10 gets my vote. That's after I almost bought the Arai. HJC just fit my wierd head a bit better.

id say if the shoei fits, get it! to me, all the bells and whistles arent going to matter if the things doesnt fit right, or feel comfortable on my head. shoei rf1100 fits me like a glove too.. i just cant justify throwing out my perfectly good scorpion and dumping over 400 on another helmet haha

I'm an arai guy, but for certain reasons I had to go cheaper on my last helmet. I purchased a Scorpion 400 something. Very good bang for the buck. Me noggin took 3 point blank licks to the same spot, I walked away,

Ah.I remember now "exo 400". For limited budgets the scorpions are a great choice! (But I'm still saving for that arai).

It’s really loud; it’s kind of big for me. Little padding. Doesn’t vent very well. Fogs easily. The strap is too long. I think I paid $100 for it 3 years ago. I was riding a cruiser and just wanted something full face when I was on the freeway. Now I have a full time job and a much faster bike and after reading this forum, safety has been an enlightened concern for me.

Generally speaking, one is a direct result of the other. I wouldn't knock all HJCs simply because you chose the wrong size.

value doesn't really matter if the one you buy doesn't fit right

So I ended up getting a Shoei RF-1100 from another member on the forum yesterday. It fits perfect. Its comfortable, and looks way better than my original helmet. Thank you guys for your input.

I don't think so. I think revzilla.com is your best option. I found out a chinese company bought Bell and their quality and R&D went down the drain. The cali company who sold the company bought the company back and have everything based out of california now. Its going to be a badass lid. I was going to get it if I didn't get the deal on the shoei

Glad you picked up a helmet you like. Remember, you can always buy more helmets too haha!

A quick note- my Shoei RF-1100 had loose screws on the shield adjusters when I got it. The shield started to whistle above 35 mph. A minute with a phillips-head screwdriver and the whistle was gone. May want to check your screws!
