I saw little to no leg humping in this thread. Mostly just people that seem to be interested in helping out a new member of the community. Grow up dudes. At least NewRider actually has his head on straight. Not everyone has an angle when they are trying to be helpful.

I'd recommend taking it out to Willowbrook on the weekday evenings... that's where I started to learn to relax on a bike- always tensed up way too much & I was sore & exausted whenever I was riding on public streets.
Stay alert & practice, practice, practice.

I suck at picking up a bike so I always tried to have a guy friend around- some1 that rode or even didn't ride... altho oddly enuf u'll prob find whenever u drop it u will see a guy come to the rescue pretty fast! Maiden in distress syndrome lol.
