You should just drop the issue and consider yourself lucky you got hit by that car. Next time just get out of his way...if anything he just increased the resale value of your bike. You should be trying to find him to thank him instead of considering pressing charges.

In the Sherlock's parking lot they do have those mobile camera units that do record the stuff that goes down...maybe you could contact the contractor for those?

I think they only put them up on the weekend when they get more packed, I usually see them since they place them in between parking spots, don't remember seeing it last night...

Will check if I can leave work for a few minutes.

My car was broken into at Lifetime fitness and hit at HEB. Both times they told me I couldn't look at the tape only the police could. I had to file a police report and then the police had to investigate. I was f@*king . I hope that if they did have cameras they aren't like the managers at HEB and Lifetime. I filed the police reports and heard nothing from the cops. I doubt they had time for that. The systems are set up to protect the store and the business not it's patrons.

Always call the cops and get a report! I had to learn this the hard way and ended up paying out of the pocket for my bike repairs on my last accident.

Regardless sorry to hear about your situation man, I hope for the best and luckily it didn't go any worse than it did. People than run or try and screw you over deserve to get what's coming to them, I hope this is the case for this guy.

It's hard dealing with shady people and cops who don't care

It was probably his mom's car

which if in fact it is, he probably told her that it was a hit and run, and have filed it with the insurance.

Sorry to hear that. He probobally took off because he was drunk hence he didn't hear the horn. I don't ride at nite because of not being able to id drunk drivers, and teens texting while driving. I live next to hihhway 2100, and there are too many bars full of red neck pickup trucks ( no insult ment ). Let me know if you ever find this guy, and we'll take care of it MARINE CORPS style.
