I'll have a GPS on my bike, so if there's a need / desire to split up, I'll offer to assist. No intercom / bluetooth / CB / satcom / etc, though.

In addition to reducing the group size (safer, easier), it would also allow differentiating the groups by pace, riding style, etc.

Just an offer more than a suggestion.

as far as pace goes, there might be some non-sportbikes with us. that in mind, the pace will most likely fluctuate depending on road condition and how well I know the particular road. most of these roads , Ive either rode once (2 years ago) or not at all. Think of this as an exploration. There are no set times. We will try to keep everyone happy as much as we can. I prefer NOT to have a large group, but I dont really like the idea of splitting everyone up as that kind of defeats the purpose to me. My IDEAL group? 10. With a DIVERSE group/motorcycles.

Jim, I forgot how often we stopped last time, but it seemed fine to me and we made great time. , I even got pulled over and we had a downed rider(which he wants to come back for this one) and we had to deal with that for about an hour.

Yep, but our average pace was not "cruiser" friendly.

Either way, your lazy will have to get up earlier to make it there before darkness sets in..

I'd like to go but I only have a tard and a cruiser. The tard wouldn't work because I would have to pull over and change the oil twice. And I'm afraid I would get left behind on the cruiser. I tried keeping up with some sport bikes on it before and I had to replace the foot boards because after 30 minutes they were all sorts of torn up. Oh well. Buying another proper naked bike after this summer so I'm in for sure next time.

I went to Austin this weekend in a car and have found some new fun roads near Lake Travis Next weekend I will be returning on bike/leathers...I haven't been on a 2+ hour ride since last year (MSRC and Austin)...well other than TWS (Texas World Speedway) 3x in the past few months. Chris, I don't know if I will bring saddlebags with me for this one...but I'm still looking into it. I didn't goto Walmart yet

We're off NW 290 so a couple hours away from most of the route.

Just a thought with as many bikes as you have signed up..
