May 14-15 AUSTIN HILL COUNTRY RIDE!!

This is a general idea of the route we will take.

Leaving 7am from : TBA

You will need to make a hotel/friends house reservation.

Returning in late afternoon early night of the 15th.


We will add more to this thread as we get more info strait.

I might do this thing. Where would you overnight (what town)? I'd need to make reservations at a motel with a ground floor room that I could roll the bike into.

Im guessing the plan is leave 7am from Katy on the 14th Saturday Morning. then ride our off till late Saturday evening. Rest shortly. Wake up and then make it home Sunday evening?

Last time it was a two day ride. We did 360-380 per day or thereabouts. Stay the night somewhere around Austin.

Only advice I can offer is ride smart, and keep it well within your skill level. This route/time frame is really not geared for noobs.. you need to keep a decent pace to arrive before late at night.

We left a little late (thanks to the "stash"). Had a delay due to a noobish rider finding a ditch early on, plus Chris getting an interview with the man before Chappel Hills, and still made it into Austin by 6:30 or so... so you can figure out your own pace notes.
