Was a good ride. Beautiful night.
Saw a couple deer in the forest.
Got a bit chilly in the country but not too bad.
Good group, no incidents.

Roads were clear, new HID's light up the night...

We jumped back on 6 rather than return thru the forest.. and the group got split up a bit. I hung back with lil bit on the CBR600 so she wouldn't get lost. Got her back with her BF at Buckees and everyone is cool. I was looking at the various stations but didn't see the main group at the LUVS on 2920 when we passed...

Thank again everyone that attended!

Val was fine thanks to Texlurch and Ormand staying with her. For safety reasons I cannot understand why at least the speed limit wasnt maintained on the freeway. She was upset w her bf for leaving her but I hope our point was illustrated well. Its difficult for me to see behind me and count with that many bikes, which is why I took such a conservative pace even on the highway. But she made it! That's a serious ride for someone getting back into riding after some time off. Im proud of her efforts.

Was a great ride to honor a great guy. Cali, again thanks for putting this together and to everyone else for making this a safe ride. Was a bit chilly by the time the Ninja made it home.

Oh, who else got some pics from the ride? Post them up please

I think her speedo is off a bit. She thought she was going way faster than she was. Maybe Ormand noted the speed they were rolling on Hwy 6?

As a matter of fact I had my GPS on and we were going anywhere from 45-5xmph on Hwy 6, but at times, it went down to 3x. I didn't care too much because Hwy 6 is a haven for police...better safe than sorry. It was pretty bad though at times, which is why I was driving behind. Like when we exited Hwy 6 to 290, she slowed down to almost 2x going straight up to the turn and there was an 18 wheeler behind us most of the way. I wasn't sure exactly what was going on...I thought something was wrong with her bike.

FWIW, riding that slow is very dangerous, yet alone at night on a bike - forest or highway.

It was a great ride without incidents. That was the best way to remember and honor Coach. I know he was pleased to see some of his crew come out. In fact... it is my firm belief that he actually bought us our first round of drinks (though the credit belongs to Cali). Matt... you want to tell the story?? I think it's a great sign that he is still riding strong.

Thanks to all who attended and thanks for riding so respectfully. Ormand - props to you for watching the groups back. Really appreciate it. Lurch - thanks for your sweeping efforts. LOVE THAT 12!!

Thomas - good to ride with you again man!
