I'm new here at MH and have been reading all the post about Coach Dave, what a man! This video blew my mind. It's great to see a man, obviously a great man, given so much love and respect!

So pretty outside today I am 50/50 whether to ride or drive but I leaning towards driving because it will be a bit chilly tonight and I am not as familiar with the forest as others, yet alone at night.

Leah and I will be heading that way sometime after 6. What time were you planning on leaving?

Thank you for sharing this video, it brought tears to my eyes. I wish I had come across this announcement sooner, as I am new to MotoHouston, I would have been honored to attend this ride, in honor of Coach Dave. I lost my son Charles aka R3VAN on February 13, 2011 in a fatal motorcycle accident on 610 and TC Jester so I know how important and special this ride is, that is a ride my son took every chance he could and he loved it! It may be too late to attend now, but I send my prayers to the family members of Coach Dave and I shall be there in heart and spirit. I will take some time in silence during your ride to remember Coach Dave. Bless each and every one of you attending this ride and may protect every one of you and keep you safe to and from your destination and always.

Thank you for your thoughts. I have been reading the posts about your son and husband. Thank you for sharing about them and their passion. I'm so sorry to hear how you lost them. Coach Dave was definitely a kindred spirit to your family. He rode for the pure passion of it and to be with those who enjoyed it in the same way. It wasn't about ego. It wasn't about anything but smiles and sharing. Thank you for your prayer - you have mine in return. I will think about you tonight as we honor our fallen brother.

Thank you sweetie, that means SO MUCH, it means more than words can express, I can't even see the screen clear as my eyes are filled with tears =)

Please let me (us) know how the ride went, I would love to hear about.
Once again my prayers and thoughts are with each and every one of you on this ride.
RIP COACH DAVE

Kind words indeed.

Dress warm guys looks like we're riding the whole route. At midway we'll stop, regroup and decide if we will continue the whole route. Be safe.
