integration beyond taillights

Just wondering if anyone's seen anything "integrated" other than the taillight/turn signal combos (which I don't personally care for). Ex: I saw a helmet w/ LEDs built in, wondered if maybe they were tied to the brakelights (rf- / ir- signal?) or if they were just on/off for safety.

I've heard ideas tossed around for things like this on jackets but never seen actual product(s). Have I tapped into a new market niche, or do things like this already exist?

They exist. I'll sell you one as soon as I get back from the patent office.

Great idea and I would totally buy into it.

There are jackets and helmets with integrated lights for safety. I haven't heard of any that are tied to the turn signals, though it is a neat idea.

My girl can sew a reflective arrow on to your jacket sleeves.
When you wanna turn, just stick your arm out and point, point, point.

I'm into vacuum forming, just haven't had time :(

One of my ideas is to makethe bodywork part of the turn signal (kina like GatorGlass).. I don't mean the signal flush with the bodywork, but the bodywork IS the signal. Follows the curves/lines of the bike.

I mean the signal is part of the body work, not a turnignal being the body whole panel.

I've heard the footpeg idea quite a few times before. I have a site I go to specifically for fellow Katana riders; it's especially hot w/in that group.

And as for the Gator Glass - first I've heard of it, just google'd it, and... WOW - I think my gears shall be spinning for quite some time on that idea.

I'd always wondered if one could take a piece of clear plexiglass w/ hidden led's on the side, especially over a reflective surface to make "hidden" lights (brake/turn) but I figured it would have to be a flat surface. My cage is a cavalier and I really couldn't care less about it, mods are reserved for the bike, which alas has few flat surfaces. But anyway...

Hey anyone have familiarity w/ EL-wire ("electroluminecent wire")? (sp.?)

Yes. Used it on my RC flyers, and helis before.

Also check out the local hobbyshops. All sorts of lighting in there to use on a bike.
