I saw a guy at cycle gear that pulled up in one.. I asked why did he go with that vs a bike.. He responded because he couldn't ride two wheels.. I wanted to ask if he had his endorcement, but I just left it alone at that point. My friend that was with me had mentioned he was thinking about getting one.. Once we got in the car I said "and you wanted one.. they aren't even bikes".. He just flipped me off.

I don't think it qualifies as a moto, you certainly don't need a M endorsement. At least you didn't (not sure if the laws changed).

Hence the reason I won't borrow ANYTHING I can't afford to replace....

Cars, Trucks, Bikes, etc....

If you hang out on sidecar websights there are tons of stories like that. Buddy borrows your sidecar for a "spin" around the block and ends up flipping it or running
it into a ditch.... Completely different beasts....

We have one and it is a blast, its not something U just jump on and know how to ride it immediately, We have hod ours a couple years now and its great, does handle more like a big 4 wheeler and not much like a bike, just takes getting use to, but I have had ours up well into tripples and it does just fine, U can not appreciate it or know how to ride it in a 5 min around the block test ride, U prolly wont like it, but after a few rides and some miles they are a hoot

^ yeah, they sound fun for a second option, for sure.

This story sounds like it was at a dealer and was dealer-owned, no?

If that's the case and the guy who wrecked was on the clock he could definitely get workers comp.
