Welcome and enjoy the bike.

To place the bike in your name you wil need to go to the TAX accessors office for ypur county. You will need the title, and an application for texas certificate of title this is form 130U it requires the sellers information and signature, you will pay the tax on the amount entered on this form, you will also need proof of insurance.
The above you need, A bill of sale I have not been ask for as the form 130U has all
that information and more.

You likely want to go to
http://www.txdot.gov/

Again this is handled at the Tax Accessors office

Good luck ride safe.
I would advise my parents via phone.

Rly? lol

CMRA has a 250 class... they outrun most people on 600/1000s on the track.

When you're that good I'll believe you're ready to step up.

LOL JK. A larger bike does make street riding easier because the available power can get you out of a tight spot w acceleration. However it also prevents the rider to learn how to corner by not instilling confidence in their abilities and throttle control.

1) Begin riding w people that will ride with you, not make you ride w their pace nor wait for you to come to the next stop to catch up.

2) Watch the twist of the wrist series to get a good idea of what all is involved in riding corners and bike control. Laugh at this comment if you like but I share it regularly w people that have ridden 5 yrs plus and alot of it is new info for them. Its like the vail had been raised.

3) Consider, just consider track days. Not to learn to ride fast but to put yourself in an enviroment that is safe to motivate yourself to learn control. I highly recommend going to the track during a track day and riding parade laps; then watch the people attending in their classes afterwards for some perspective.

Gear up always, welcome to MH and the riding addiction.

welcome........enjoy the bike and get the best gear u can afford..and wear it....lots of folks I see around Houston don't, and I somehow doubt gravel rash is any less painful here than where I come from! And like others have said find a group to ride with but don't try to keep up with the fast boys/girls, ride at your own pace. If they are really friends they will ride at pace that you are confortable with until you build up your confidence
