Bike(s):
2008 Ninja 250r

Wink Newbie Girl Rider

just got a 2008 ninja 250r last night to start off with i saw too many fail vids on youtube with guys starting off on a 600cc bike and i didnt wanna look retarded struggling on a big bike. i spent like 3 hrs looking at fail vids lol.

btw i havent brought it home to let my parents yet and im kinda scared...actually im very scared but i dont know whats the best way to tell them without giving them a heart attack? im the only child so i cant blame any brothers or sisters.

but yeah i have a few questions on what to do next, i would like to know what all do i need to do now like with the title, i just need to go get insurance and go to court to put it in my name? ive never done this before and not sure on what and how to do this.

ok so after that i need my gear helmet, jacket, and gloves. then i have to get it adjusted to my weight and height and was wondering how much that is supposed to cost so i dont get ripped off? and how much is it to add frame sliders?

thats all the questions i have for now and please help me out! thanks for looking! if theres anything else i need to know, please let me know! i dont know anything about bikes they just look awesome so i went and got my license and a bike!

man when i was on the way to go buy it i was so excited i felt like my heart was gonna explode out of my chest!

Hopefully you got a bill of sale and that the seller signed the title over to you. Get insurance on the bike and take all those documents with you to your county tax office to have the title and registration transferred in your name.

As far as getting the suspension set up for you, go to Motorcycles Unlimited. I believe they charge $25. You can go to the Sponsors Forum and post up your questions in the Motorcycles Unlimited section about any other accessories you want for you bike.

Welcome!

Do you have your license yet?

Also, how tall are you? My GF is 4'11" and I'd like to get her on a bike, but its going to be tough finding a motorcycle low enough!

You can lower any bike.

Kelly (jerzey's girl) is like 4'9" and she can ride plenty of bikes.

Not to be a kill joy, but there is also a new sponsor here ...V Eagle Rider..and they might be closer, but I have not used them. (Skid checks my bike for me...interesting that he "test rides" it a lot too)

+1 on Motorcycles Unlimited, also frame sliders are good, if you want to make it easy to clean and lube your chain then you might look into swingarm buttons and a stand. Welcome to the leghumping nuthouse!

And find some responsible, level-headed folks to ride with and get to know them. Getting to know some seasoned riders who are friends off the motorcycle as well can go a long way to learning how to take care of day to day maintenance of your motorcycle and hints and tips in general.
