Wow.. That was crazy.. I was sweeping too... I braked so hard in that corner when I was behind.. all I saw was dust settling.....looks like you were to far inside that line braked when you saw that guy in the ditch.. and cut left.. That turn came out of no where.. looks faster than it was...

Hey but that was not TOO bad man, if there is a time to go down or a scenario that was it! Good job taking it off road and lowsiding there instead of on the street or trying to save that curve and highsiding into a ditch! It sucks you went down but that was a good vid of a soft down, glad there wasn't a car in the oncomming lane when you had to straighten up in that curve!

You definitely need some more experience under your belt. That's an accident that should have never happened. Glad you're OK!

Target fixation!.....Look at the ditch thats where you go..as hard as it may seem always look where you want to go. these bikes are way better than most riders they can do some amazing things.......after 39 years of riding thats the most important thing i still practice every ride!....Look where you want the bike to go...But theres a draw back.....my bike has never passed a bike shop or a titty bar!.

Dude...take it down a notch. Ever read those rider down threads where the guy is all up from an accident and you are thinking to yourself, "How did that happen, there isn't even much of a turn there let alone any traffic." You are that guy. Take it easy, if there was a tree there you would be wishing you were dead. Be safe and have fun but be safe.

Going in I saw him in the ditch already and that was it, target fixation for sure, mixed with a little too hot of an entry, definitely not good.

Working on the experience part, more riding by myself without any other distractions is helping, still have a lot to learn though.

Yeah, had there been a car, the wednesday night meets would be one guy less.

Yeah, he's in the video. You can see him as Im going in to the turn and right before the bike goes down, just gotta pause it a little.

At 0:20 the guy is off in the distance in the ditch to the left of the road (inside the windscreen field of view).
At 0:21 he is almost out of the frame to the right of the tree that is just ahead of the rider (but still inside windscreen fov).

Looking at the vid, I couldn't figure out what happened till I kept playing it over and over and there he was.

When I'm on the road I usually try to concentrate NOT allowing anything take my mind off my line. Glad you're ok man.

OK! I see the guy now. Rykosons post is so condensed, its hard to understand the events. (the guy didnt cause a scare, leading to the accident. But the accident was litterally, leading into a guy, if the bike/rider, ended up in ditch a little farther.

Dont mean to incite, but "that curve popped out of nowhere" remark leads me to believe neither of you are familiar with the road? correct?

Glad both of you are ok. lessons learned, and hope not quickly forgotten!

"that curve popped up out of nowhere" means you weren't looking down the road....
