176hp I'd buy. 180, I'd buy. 190.....that's pushing it.

Then again, dynos can be made to read whatever you want within reason. So a little "pencil wiping," and 190 is possible.

To REALLY settle this .....

If anyone has or gets a new ZX10 and someone wants to volunteer their S1000r, hit me up.... I may be interested in organizing a "controlled test" with both of these motorcycles in our own "mexico"..... The event will be video'd with cameras at the start and end of the measured distance as well as a chase bike to film close up(mine, don't worry, I'll keep up....).... and GPS will be used on both bikes. We ofcourse will have to match up riders of equal weight. We really need STOCK bikes to do this with.....no slip ons, no -1 sprockets.....none of that....Bikes will be ran up to their speed limiter.

I would gladly perform this test myself if I owned a BMW/ZX10 but.... I don't so....

If anyone wants to put this to rest, lets get it done... PM me...

No one cares about BMW versus ZX10, I'll ask again. Go make your own thread if you wanna have that battle, its already been done.

As for Horsepower, here's a link from Sedition Motorsports calling the final numbers on Gadsons ZX10 at 190.7 HP

If you guys care, then please go start a BMW versus Kawi thread, that is not why I started this discussion. At least pretend like you care about how a forum operates.

Oh and in the 2nd gear roll on he demolished the BMW from 130-197 mph.

And the BMW wasn't bone stock, they had almost exactly the same mods except for wheels, of which the stock BMW wheels are far superior to the stock ZX10 wheels.

Oh and you're Dyno shootout is a completely restricted Kawi with faulty valve springs versus a BMW, doesnt even matter.

I'm not saying Kawi is the BMW killer, or the BMW kills the Kawi. But if you wanna just trash the Kawi at least bring something relevant.
Get mad or live in denial much....
