The new Kawi is a beast!

Ricky Gadson running 9.09 on a stock 2011 Kawi with slipon and tuning. Short wheel base and all! Scary!

Apparently the US version is restricted down >22 HP due to regulations. The Euro versions not quite so bad and only losing out 9-10 HP.

Thankfully Kawi made sure it is really easy to scavenge back the power though

Oh and finally redid all the wiring on my bike that the previous owner half-assed. Everything is great now, and the horn is working again . Now to upgrade to HIDs and find some LEDs for the integrated turn signals.

Picking up a two-brothers exhaust and juicebox that I found for 200$ shipped (for both) as a temporary upgrade until I decide what I want to do. I just feel bad running this GP1 with the secondaries out and no fuel management at all.

Yeah I'm eventually getting the PC5 and autotune, just haven't decided on the exhaust. I want a full akra (but they are far too pricey to get one new) The juicebox & twobros pipe was such a ridiculously good deal, I figured theres no way I could lose money and it will be a nice temporary

Link?

That's not quite what I've seen so far but looking forward to the info.

I wouldn't be surprised if that bike is a SS spec bike already...

Yeah no ..... 35 mph gain on the back half....

Not to mention if Tricky Ricky on it, there is some heat hidden in that thing.....believe me.... Just like Brock's "stock" BMW that Ryan ran 8.40s on with an arm....

Still cool though that the oems are building some new stuff with big power....About time...

Here's a completely bone stock, stock exhaust, headers, filter everything just derestricted from the ECU putting out ~180 HP. I imagine Rickys is easily doing 190 with a proper tune and air flow.

Dyno runs:

Garth's modded ZX10R...
ZX10R vs S1000RR:

NOTE: he took down the 2nd gear roll video where he got demolished a good 10+ bike lengths by the bone stock BMW...

NOTE: He got demolished in a second gear roll-on after demolishing the BMW from 1st twice... congrats on better low end on the BMW?

Oh and in the 2nd gear roll on he demolished the BMW from 130-197 mph.

And the BMW wasn't bone stock, they had almost exactly the same mods except for wheels, of which the stock BMW wheels are far superior to the stock ZX10 wheels.

Oh and you're Dyno shootout is a completely restricted Kawi with faulty valve springs versus a BMW, doesnt even matter.

I'm not saying Kawi is the BMW killer, or the BMW kills the Kawi. But if you wanna just trash the Kawi at least bring something relevant.

First of all this Kawi is highly modified by owner and was running on RACE gas!

Leo Vince Slip-on
Power Commander
Removed Restrictions
VP MR12 Fuel
Innovate Data Logger
Lowered 2.75"
Magnesium Marchesini 10 spoke wheels
Braking wave rotors
Servo Buddy
Misc Weight Shavings
17/36 Gearing
Hayabusa Front Fender
Rider is 180lbs

The BMW was pretty much stock!

here are both races:
