Question San Luis Pass

Is riding allowed out there? I have never been, just driven over the toll bridge. I have seen people riding out there, just don't know if it is legal. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It was allowed (although still illegal), but I heard they cracked down on it because people were riding on the dunes and vegetation. We used to take the four wheelers out there a few years ago, but haven't been back since I heard that rumor.

There is a huge sign saying "No Motorcycles" after "No Dirtbikes". I missed the sign on the way in, but saw it when I rode out. I was there on a weekday and didn't get bothered, weekend may be different. At least I got some pictures before I saw the sign. Also it says it is private property so street rules don't apply and you may get fined for trespassing.

They will ticket you. I had a friend get one. He was asked to put it up first. He around and didn't put it on the trailer. They rolled back by and showed him whats up.

Definitely not. I called and asked politely if riding was permitted down there. Response I got was a rather abrupt and stern "there are no motor vehicles allowed offroad ANYWHERE on Galveston Island"
Pretty cut and dry.
where is creekside edge?
