Trying on helmets

I'm thinking about getting a new helmet, but would like to try a range of different lids on before committing. Is there a store in Houston that stocks a good variety of brands and models or am I going to have to hit two or three to get a good idea of what fits right?

Goto Cycle gear, they helped me choose the one for my specific application of motorcycle and also, I could test fit many of them to find the right tightness required. I suggest a Shoei helmet as well.

I've got a large selection of HJC's and Bell, as well as a familiarity of how the different other brands fit.

No, we probably won't stock the Revolver for right now. Not a big market for modulars and we already carry the IS Max BT in stock. Plus I can get one in a day or two if needed.

Try Two Wheel TOYZ off Spencer Road if you are near the southeast side [ corner of hwy. 3 & Spencer ]
They have a large selection of helmets & gear over there.

I'm looking at either a bell or agv. Bell in particular because of the transitions visor. Have you tried that visor out, Patrick? If it is good and the bell helmets fit well then I might not have to try out many at all.

Pulling this back up because I ended up with a Shoei Qwest and WOW. I had it more off than on from 8 am to 3 pm on the Saturday Fayetteville ride and I think I was more comfortable with it on!

I wish a store had a small wind tunnel so you could te
st the airflow over the helmet that would be a plus

Hey. Just have New Rider blow on you. That should be enuff airflow going though it might be hot air.

Sorry for thread jacking but couldn't resist...

Went and saw Patrick the other day ready to buy a new HJC lid. Then I saw had the transitions lens for my Bell so I bought that instead. I love the way HJC feels. Gonna buy one from Motorcycles Unlimited soon enuff. The transitions shield however totally rocks!!
