I just got pulled over. . .

. . . for being awesome!

I was coming back from studying at Starbucks. As I'm riding though my neighborhood I see a LEO. I don't think anything of it because I'm doing the speed limit. A few minutes later as I'm approaching my street and I see the LEO right behind me. Now I'm a little concerned because he was a ways behind me so he had to do a bit of catching up. I turn into my culdesac and he turns behind me. As I get off the bike he honks. He then proceeds to go around the culdesac and park in front of my driveway. I walk over to his vehicle with my helmet still on, visor up, wondering what's up.

Naturally I say, "Hello". (As it never hurts to be polite.) The LEO opens with, "Is that an '09 Ninja 250?" "Yes sir, yes it is."

It turns out he liked my bike! He wants to get a 250cc motorcycle and wanted my opinion on them! So we spend a few minutes talking. He wants one for commuting and what not. He had questions about riding in cold weather, rain, distance, fuel millage, etc.. I said cold weather not so bad. Rain. . . don't do it! Fuel millage was great and I do about 60-65 Mph. He'd never been on a motorcycle before so I mentioned MSF would teach him. *cough* Awesome Cycle plug *cough* I also stated the little 250 is very nimble and easy to handle.

Now for all you guys who think 250cc is not enough I *did* mention a bigger bike like a 650cc would be good as well. He would have none of it! He wanted a 250cc bike due to costs and whatnot. (and because they rock!) As I looked down at his assault rifle I wasn't about to argue. We spoke a little longer and he had to go. Hopefully to catch some bike thief.

Viva la two-fiddy!

Cool story....

Always be nice to the man with the gun.... especially when he has a badge...

(besides stickers we should have cards for the web sight that we could give people when they ask...)
