Unexpected Help

When I got back to the Chevron today with my truck to pick up Iceman's bike, a guy on a Harley helped us load it up. Afterward, he handed us business cards & a pamphlet.

Short version: He's a member of "Bikers Against Child Abuse." It's a non-profit deal where bikers support abused children and their families (if the abuser is not a family member.) Check out their site for the long version:

www.bacausa.com

Worthwhile cause, and it seems legit. Guy said sport bikes are more than welcome.

Seems pretty cool to be honest. There are a lot of single working parents out there they may not be able to feel like they can protect their children when they need it the most. Looks like a great organization!

On a second note, thanks for being part of what makes MH so awesome. Helping Iceman out was a cool thing to do, and I know he appreciates it. I would have tagged along, but I had to load my bike on a truck too...

No problem at all. I was more than happy to help, and would do it again anytime. I'm just glad that he and C2D are alright. Could have turned out a helluva lot worse.

Sucks that your bike broke, but I'm glad you figured out the problem. We took Ice's bike straight to Motorcycles Unlimited. Guys there had much better ramps than mine, and did all the work unloading it. Wouldn't even let me help push it to the front door. Pretty cool group up there, I must say.

Seems like a legit organization with a cool mission. They even have a local chapter. I'll have to check them out.

BACA is a great organization, and I am planning on riding with them soon. They have two groups in the Houston area, one that meets in Baytown and one that meets north west at the Thirsty Parrot. Did you catch the guys name that helped you out?
