I hear ya, those double apex turns will get you quick. I actually almost went down in the same turn as Pigpens "tims" corner, but JonEric slowed me down before we go to it. The guy in front of us did go down as he wasnt able to turn in and ran wide, in the same corner.

RIP, sad story indeed, that the father and sone were in those situations, thats my worst nightmare, that is an easy curve, the first one that is marked with 35 mph painted on the road, perfect target fixation, guaranteed, had he looked through the curve this wouldnt have happened, and I agree with r6gal, had I been the father on the scene and seen him smurking, I would be in jail right now, and about them seeing way too much death, tough, thats the job they chose, deal with it, sad story for sure, imagine having to call his wife and the mother of their son and telling her the news

Wow I wish I had not found this thread...I was riding up from Montgomery and came upon the accident yesterday. I pulled over and talked to a guy standing with a group of bikes, he was riding with there group of six. I asked what happened I saw another bike on the kickstand close to the downed one, that did not look at all banged up. He said they were from Oklahoma and were only used to running strait roads and "trying to keep up he just went wide"....

If we can take this accident to heart, and keep our heads while riding solo or in a group his death will not be in vain
