Where were you between 0745 and 0800 9/11 -5?

I was driving to work and listening to my fav. talk channel. They just mentioned a blurb about a plane hitting WT2. I was thinking "some dumbass forgot how to fly and smacked a building!":BangHead: Of course it was early on and they made it sound as if it was a Cessna 182 or something small. Then they said it was a commuter plane. THEN reality set in. I hauled to the office and turned on the only TV we had which was equipped with the lamest of antenna. It was snowing in NYC and there was smoke coming from the WT2! Snowy picture, or not, we could still see what was happening. As we were watching, the 2nd plane hit. It didn't take a degree in rocket-propulsion to know that we were under attack. . Needless to say, no one got any work done.

R.I.P. you 3K+ folks who lost your lives. Godspeed those who are fighting for us and Bless the souls those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Just curious... I know that a lot of parents pulled their kids out of school that morning. Did Chase stay all day?

Yes, I debated on if I should go and get him, but decided not to. He was only in kindergarden and I didn't want to scare him. I only live two blocks from the school, so if something else had happened I would have been there!

At work huddled around a 'puter monitor with a buncha co-workers wondering how to fix our problem. One of the guys wife called and as he was walking out of our area he turned around and repeated what she had just told him. "PLANES have hit the WTF?!?!" We dropped everything and ran to his office because he had a TV.

Creepy day. RIP to all those who died and shame on CNN and all the 'news' outlets who continually over-do this every year.

I was at work (sales rep for Budweiser) I heard about it on the radio... Almost everystore I went to had it on tv.. over 80% of the accounts were pakastani(SP) or of that decent.. Because of the Business I was in I had to treat everyone like it was another day.. but I had to wonder of my accounts how many really were'nt sorry or upset about the events of that day.

I was the school secretary at an elementary school. We were just getting the school day started when a teacher told me about the first plane hitting.

Throughout that day, we checked out about 600 of our 850 students--one by one. It was CRAZY...parents were sending people to pick up their kids who were not authorized to take the kids--then they'd get upset when we wouldn't let them have the kids.

We tried to maintain a sense of normalcy through that school day. We didn't tell the kids. They all HAD to wonder about the ominous announcements over the PA system and why all of their friends were going home early.

I was in office, working late (LATE, cos I was in Bombay, India), somebody comes in says a plane hit WTC. Everybody thought it was the Bombay WTC (there is a building called WTC in Bombay too, though much smaller) and we were like oh ! Then somebody shouted it was the NY WTC and we were like OH SHITTTTT!!!! Logged on to CNN.com, but the site was overwhelmed and down, if I remember correctly.Soon there were emails and fwds flying around (a geek's way of spreading news) but did not find out the extent of tragedy till next morning.
RIP to the fallen folks, all motha****ing terrorists need to be shot point blank!!!

driving to work...late as usual...when i first heard it on the buzz...they kinda seemed to joke, and then they were like, holy , this seems like some sorta terrorist attack as they described the second plane hitting...and while working the other technician was off saying, "it's the f*cking osama bin laden f*ck" I was like, who is that?

its amazing that it's been 5 years. i remember that day like it were last tuesday...wait, i remember it better than last tuesday...
