There are multiple schools of thought on wearing a helmet, but when it comes right down to it, with street riding, its ultimately a shoot. You get t-boned by a truck and your helmet only makes the body easier to identify. There have been people who have walked away from 70mph lowsides without a helmet and others who have died falling over at a stop light wearing one.

When it is your time, its your time. Simple as that.

That being said - the whole "holla at the girls" thing is pretty silly. I am not aware of any women who actually like that - and i'm pretty sure any that do aren't worth being around.

It sounds like you answered your question. Forget the helmet, because if the helmet did you keep you alive in a crash, you wouldn't want to be a vegetable.

But I'm curious though, why did you wear your helmet all the other times???

They very well might Ormand. They also contribute to neck injuries. There have been recent studies which are starting to raise the question of just how useful they really are in a street riding situation.

If you always wear full gear, the ones who care are going to recognize you anyway.

So what would make you an idiot for not wearing it then, but not an idiot for not wearing it now?

PS- Was your plan to holla at girls by yelling at them over the traffic noise? Why wouldn't you just pull over and stop, and just Poser it up on the Seawall anyway?

I hear ya. And being a student there has to help with the odds. I have hung my lid and on the tail and cruised the sea wall many times. I take it off at LSR too.

1) Be super carefull at 4 way lights. Watch your 6 !. Other rubber neckers will be looking at the same you were staring at. They will run up your .
2)Stay away from the lane closest to the side walk. The cars will throw doors open and take you out quick.
3)If you speed at all you will be pulled over for not wearing the lid.
4)Try to do more posing than cruising. You cant talk to them if you are moving. You sit still and let them walk by you. At least that way she wont notice the pitiful little sound out of the 250. The curb monkeys are gonna know that's not the sound she heard at starbucks and peg it as a 250.

Under 21 law requires a helmet. And yes in black and red it does look similar to cruise's GPZ

you actually dont get an endorsement for not wearing a helmet anymore you just have to have a certain amount of health insurance i believe,i know last time i checked they dont issue the stickers for ur plate saying u dont have to wear a lid.
