*** Rider Down Update***

My friend Tommy went down today! I don't have many details, but this is what I do know! He somehow hit an 18 wheeler or vice versa! He was taken to Hermann Hospital via Life Flight I believe! That is about all I know. He is a good guy! He doesn't ride irresponsible, but he is notorious for not wearing proper gear, so I am sure all he had on was a helmet! Oh and he rides a Superhawk and has been riding a few years!
So if you guys pray, please pray for him or send him good thoughts!

Thanks
Candie

Some where on the Texas City/Clear Lake area! I am not exactly sure, but that is the area we live!

I just heard that apparently the 18 wheeler ran into the back of him, and threw him off the bike and he slid about 150 feet! So far all I know is that he has a lot of road rash!

Thanks everyone!

I hope he's OK! I had sold my TLS to a guy here in Houston. I gave him my spare Teknic boots, gloves, helmet, full race leather (very used), and a Joe Rocket jacket. I told him, now there is no reason that I should ever hear you have road rash!! What did he do, the first time without his jacket, he gets sideswiped and down he went getting his share of Roadrash! At least he had his helmet on.
For street riding, it's like we need radar for all directions incorporated into our visor to see all directions!!!
I pray he's OK!!!

***Update***

Got some more info! He was on 59 in the center lane going about 65-70ish and the truck hit him from behind. That sent him sliding! Once he stopped he noticed that he was still on the highway and a SUV was closing in on him fast, he jumped up and got to the side of the road just in time to watch the SUV slam into the bike! The truck driver did stop and render aid and give all the insurance info! Tommy was taken to Hermann and should be released any minute. His hands and arms a pretty rashed up, but his legs are not to bad, thanks to the dual exhaust on the Superhawk!

Thanks guys for all your prayers and good thoughts!
