sprocket...

ok I am POSSIBLY thinking about putting a bigger sprocket on my bike. Go ahead laugh, but I will be able to wheelie easier and maybe yall will actually be able to wheelie it for once. Yes i know my bike will be slower, but it's not like it's made to go fast!! so if you can help I don't know what I am looking for as far as sprockets go what's a good price and what not!!

bad idea. you will end up regreting it when you finally get to ride it.

not only the speed will reduce but if you cant clutch it up or ride them out, adding a sprocket wont make wheeling in general easier. the reason most get sprockets is to get to the BP faster, not to be able to wheelie.

well the reason i went one down in the fron is because my brother and i would do track day at the V.I.R.track in virginia.but now that im here in houston, well i thought id change up.but i dought i will ill just leave the bike the way it is . more perfrmance stuff. well one day when i get some time off to do a track day, maybe we can meet out there and you can take her for a run and see how she is tuned, and all.

that answer wasnt directed towards you. it was towards the originator or the post who has a 50cc motorcycle. its like addind a sprocket to those little 50's you see in the parking lot. they are mostly stunt oriented.

just sell the bike and take a finacial loss nichole. use that as a down payment at eximport

you may also need a new chain if you do get a bigger rear sprocket. you can try going -1 in the front or +2 in the back. all that means is the teeth on the sprocket is added or erased and changes the travel of the chain. i dont know alot about that lil bike so im guessing about $250 parts and labor.

and i'd really NOT recommend going + in the rear or - in the ft, it's already barely side street safe. + in the rear or - in the ft, takes away from top end.

and if your bike has some miles, you really should replace your chain w/ the sprockets.
