Motorcycle Artwork

Not sure what section I should post this, so please move if needed.

Saw a guy on 1960 by Lee road that was selling artwork. Stopped just to see what he had and the dude has some really good paintings of MotoGP riders. He has got some bad Rossi paintings that he did. Got to talking to him and he is an enthusiast like the rest of us. I bought one of his smaller paintings with a frame for $20. It is of Bayliss I think. Its an Alice sponsored bike with a #1 plate. Just wondering if anyone else has stopped and seen his work and what you may of thought of it. I think he has some really great skills and pieces. Said he has a gallery in Kingwood. I will post a pic of the one I bought when my wife get home.

don't think so

I asked if he has heard of motohouston and he said no. He mentioned that he is on ducati-austin site. His name is Paul. He had some amazing (at least to me) works. There was a line drawing of a duc out of some kind of chalk and it was really cool looking. Here is a photo of the one I bought. It is probably 8 1/2 by 11 with the frame. The photo does not do this painting justice.

1960 and lee road?

Can you get a much better picture of the art? If so he might be getting some patronage.

he did ask if we had meet and greets and such. I am hoping he will check out the site. I will get my co-worker who has a good camera (that one was taken with a phone) to take a pic tomorrow at work (its going on my cube wall). And I will post it. I can post his information too, I didn't want to step on any toes as I am not sure what the rules are about promoting stuff for sale (even though I do not know the guy except for meeting him today on the side of the road). I just really think it is great stuff and think people here will like it too.

I think you are right about the picture. Looking at the painting and the pic, the helmets are the same.

better pic

Here is a little bit better photo of the painting I have. It is Stoner by the way. Took it out of the frame and it had the details on the back of the painting.

As for promoting stuff for sale... take it to the for sale section.

Dont really think there would be anything against it.

Should be just like selling something you own. lol

That's awesome.
Get him a MotoHouston decal and invite him to the site if you can.
I'm sure he'd get a couple of sells here.

If he needs/wants some higher definition pics of his stuff I can prob take a couple.

More Artwork

Here are some pictures he sent me of some of the work that he has for sale. He said that he will be out on 1960 on Sun 3/20 from 1:00 - 4:00 or so. He is just past Lee road if you are coming from Humble going down 1960. I also have his cell phone number I can give out as well.

He will be out there Sat too from 12:00 - 4:00. His phone number is 832-282-2462. He says he has a gallery in Kingwood (I think he lives out that way).
