Texas Tornado Boot Camp 3-6-2011

Had the pleasure of attending Colin Edwards, Two time World Superbike Champion and current MotoGp contenders "Texas Tornado Boot Camp" this past weekend in Conroe Texas. Several of us were invited to act as mock Students to prepare the instructors to train future students. Was a great day for it, I just walked around and took about 600 pics all day long. Fast Freddie Spencer, 3 time MotoGp World Champion dropped in and spent the entire day hanging out, riding one of the TTR's, very quickly I might add and when He wasnt riding He was busy telling stories about his incredible racing career! Merle Scherb is one of the instructors there and was nice enough to take our '76 Yamaha XS650 Flat Track racer for its first shakedown run, was quite Impressive. Wiseco 707cc kit, 12:1 compression, megacycle cams, Stainless valves, 34mm Mikuni carbs and many other mods....thing is a beast! Here are a little over 100 of the 600 pics I took......Enjoy!

I saw that Freddie was there. For anybody interested, Ben Spies tweeted that he'll be at the 4-day camp starting April 14. The web site says 4 slots remaining.

for those of you who go to this thing, be sure and suggest that neighbors should be allowed to attend for free

Missed it by 1 day last year. My wife and I were on vacation and they still had the banners up. Its a shame last year is the last time they will have dirt on partial sections, they were in the middle of paving when we were there.
