motor bogs and back tire locks up

I was riding down the street on my way home and my engine started to bog. when i gave it more gas it did nothing.. so i pulled in the clutch to coast and it was still bogging down. and when i came off the clutch to give it some gas the back tire locks up as if i hit the brakes. the engine finally dies at low rpm and starts back up.. but my back brake doesnt work.. idk whats wrong.

See if you can describe the problem more clearly.
You said it bogs then died and then started...

Does it run now?

Back brake doesnt work...

Does that mean it is locked or has no braking function?

It bogged with the clutch in?

Can you tell us more about that part?

Does it run now? yeah it starts right up

Back brake doesnt work... well after awhile they started back working

Does that mean it is locked or has no braking function? both. the back tire locks up as if i hit the brakes, but i dont. And afterwards the brakes dont work.

It bogged with the clutch in? yes it wont even coast on top of the back tire sliding

Can you tell us more about that part?

My guess is air in a line or some other problem with the rear brake system...

Sounds like the brake drags, bogs then kills the engine. brake cools off and everything works again. That's my guess...

what happens if you start it and put it in gear with clutch pulled in? will it stay running or die? your issue how youve described it is kind of contradicting.

Check your master cylinder or resivoir for the rear brake. I had a similar issue on my husky. Totally different bike but it's the same principal. I had a bad seal in my brake pump so I teplaced it. Bam!!!!! Good as new. I hope this helps and keep us posted.

Ditto, almost sounds like the clutch isn't disengaging.

What exactly is the rear doing though? That is the thing. Is the brake locking and pulling the motor down?
