Question HJC RPS 10 issues anyone?

Let me start by saying that the HJC RPS 10 is a great helmet and i am very happy with the fit and finish of this product and i am surprised how light this helmet is compared to other twice its price.

I have ridden with this helmet for 2 months now and the only complaint that i have is the visor locking mechanism (which it doesnt have) many times during my riding the visor has popped out without warning, i dont know if this is a manufacturer's defect or what so i wanted to ask other RPS 10 owners if they have had similar experiences with this helmet.

I had the same issue until I learned how to actually lock it.

Yup, no issues with mine, I freaking LOVE it! Such a comfortable helmet. Wish it was a tad more quiet, but, even still, I think thats splitting hairs.

I assume your not talking about the center visor lock? On the side locks, after I switch my clear or tinted visor, I run it all the way down to the lock, and back up to be sure its seated, because I did have a side pop out on me once. Not since I started checking however.

use your hand, index and thumb, thumb on the bottom of the helmet, index on the center of the visor (the black thing) until you feel, not hear, the click.

I could take a short vid with the gopro and post it here later.

I havent had any problems with mine. Even after changing the shield, I did double check mine when I put the shield on though. When I lifted it all the way I could tell it wasnt set right, so I re-checked it and sure enough it popped in. Great helmet though, I love it. I like actually being able to close the vents with my gloves haha.

I have the Spies helmet as well. It locks in the center. Take a good look at it and you'll see the clasp.

The two mechanisms on either side of the helmet are attached to the helmet via screws, they have a certain degree of adjustment, try looking into that, it looks like the visor is not sealing properly, so when you're riding fast, air gets in and forces the shield out.

Just a thought.

Sounds like either you have a damaged side plate or shield. Bring your helmet when you swing by Saturday and I'll check it out.
Afaik no one else is having an issue.

Same mechanism as both my HJC CF models and I've never had an issue...

Maybe "operator error"?
