Hate the term "gixxer"...am I alone?

I've never understood it and I think it makes the person sound like a douche-bag to call their GSXR a "gixxer".
Just sounds retarded.
That is all...back to your regularly scheduled bashing.

Well...it is easier to say "Gixxer" than "Jee Ess Ex Arrrggh" (cuz I'm a bad pirate)

...But I'll usually type GSXR.

Shortened term for my bike: "Wide Glide"...at least it uses actual words.
Saying (or typing) gixxer has just always seemed dumb.
I'm not a GSXR hater - I'm a fan of all motorcycles and would love to own a stable of bikes (including a GSXR).

I've never heard people refer to a ZX**R as a "zixxer"...if you do - then you're gay.

Well, duh! It's a Ninja of course!

Can't help it if those other manufacturers have to resort to numbers and digits and such and no proper name....

Beats the out of "crotch rocket.". I always hated that one, and rarely hear any actual riders (thankfully) use it. , growing up in the Harley laden straight line no helmet mecca of Illinois, people used to call sport bikes "Ninjabikes" frequently - much like the way every soft drink in Western Kentucky seems to be referred to as a "coke."

Though calling them Gixxers fails to adequately acknowledge the presence of the letter S occupying the second position of the ubiquitous model designation.

Maybe we can go all-in on the stupid scale and start calling them "G-Sexers.". That would truly be a whole nuva level of awesomesauce. Or not...

Or maybe its just that terminology that works for people INSIDE a hobby don't have to appeal to people OUTSIDE that hobby.
