Looks like the damage to the knee was done before the highside. :eh:

I'm more then positive if he does ride he will still finish top 10. The guy is an amazing rider and for a rookie year he is holding his own really well. No matter how many times I see that guy he still looks like a little kid.

No doubt he looked like a little kid walking off. I don't understand why he highsided. From the video it looks like he could have stayed with the bike and just slid on his . But then all of a sudden it chunked him. I mean the bike stayed on the right side the whole time it looked like.

i think that when he hits the ground with the right knee he upsets the bike. THe knee got stocked in the edge of the curb or whatever is called, that's how he got the cut.

Yea, maybe so. It looked like it should have just been a lowside crash. Man high side scare the out of me and low sides don't look fun either.

Its pretty easy for a lowside to become a highside, esp if u try to get in control of the sliding bike and try to straighten it up. that what pedrosa seemed to be doing too, for a moment.
second, there r so many dynamics at play in such high speed crashes that a layman will find some things unexplainable. i lowsided at TWS (Texas World Speedway), slid 20-30 ft, saw the bike lying in the lowside position after coming to rest, but later on saw that it was the OTHER side and top which was damaged more. so somehow, it had taken two tumbles and got back into the same position again....

So are you saying if you are in a lowside slide you should just not the bike go and not try to save it? I am scared to death of highsiding.

Yeah I do belive his knee was part of the high side that followed. It looks as if when his knee smacked the corner it unsettled the bike just a tad. And with the power the bikes produce it over powered the rear to spin a tad and chunk it to a slide which then brought about the high side. When the bike is on the high power setting and you only weigh 120ish pounds its easy to upset the bike and cause some severe problems.
