I'm used to buying at dealer auctions, however most of them have now opened to the public.. The bidding is mostly one online nowadays though, so you can view the vehicles before auction and then purchase it online. Here's some links:

www.copart.com
www.iaai.com
www.manheim.com

Combination of salvage and clean titles

Remember to check locations couse they're nation wide (coparts international) I think without license you can only buy clear titles, not sure.

Frank, don't you have to try out a track day first before you invest in a track bike lol

Yes. I did go to the auction. Thanks to the op. I got the bike for 4000. Not too bad but not too good either. Its all stock and it didn't start. I have another thread created for diagnosing the problem. But one member did call me, he has a shop called vigo riders or wego riders. Hopefully its not a very big deal. My guess is whoever it was seized from maybe took out the tank to store drungs; thus, the seizure. Which maybe messed the fuses up. Hopefully its just that.
Apart from this, auction was actually pretty expensive. The gs 400 2000 went gor 6900. Whoever bought it got too excited as it was the first car for bids. Range went for like 39k. Lol at that too. Bentley went for 91k. The little ktm went for 750. That's all I remember. It was my first time at an auction so I don't blame myself for ending up with a gsxr for 4k which doesn't start

Probably more along the lines of a dead battery or old gas...

If I were you, I would put some SeaFoam in the gas for a couple of gas tanks just to clean up the internals from any deposits due to old gas. Congrats for the bike and good luck with it! BTW, how many miles did it have?
