That's weird. Most of the sad I've met ride Yamahas. They are always going on how badass their R6 is compared to a ZX, gixxer, or RR. Or how much better their big bang motor is to a RR, 10R, or gixxer.

Really? I've yet to meet anyone on a crossplane R1. It wasn't fast enough in a straight line so it didn't sell well here.

Bike(s):
2006 GSX-R 1000k6
2003 Kawasaki ZX6R -- trackbike
2009 ZX14 -- STOLEN -- never recovered
2008 Hayabusa -- STOLEN -- frame recovered

So does owning a GSX-R make one more suspectible to being randomly pulled over? I guess I'm asking if I should remove my GSX-R stickers.

I hate that the bike has gotten a bad rap because it's a great bike that revolutionized standard performance and handling. I love it and I wish more folks could see what the GSX-R is really about.

I came across 1 so far. Usually it's R6 owners telling me how much better the big bang motor is than my 10R. I used to say "Wow, really? You don't say"

Then as the grew old I said "All liters are way too much bike to have"

Then later on I smiled and nodded, saying to myself why the did I come out today?

Now I'll say "You should have bought one then"

I honestly don't think cops look that closely. If its a noisy I4 (99% of sportbikes) then you're going to be a target.

So its R6 owners telling you how much better a bike they don't even have is? Impressive....

I've got a shortened can so mine is definitely loud. Don't care. I can deal with being pulled over for a loud can. I am Deaf so the bike being louder helps me. If an officer wants to harrass me for it... well so be it. The courts protects us Deaf people very well these days so I don't really care too much. I just don't want to be harrassed because of squidly sterotypes.

A bike is a bike is a bike. I will never claim to be an awesome rider. I'm there to have fun without endangering my life or the lives of others. Not sure why some always compare themselves to others. Insecurity about themselves would be my best guess. I find that competitive spirit has morphed into competitve jealousy.

Honestly I preferred my 636 to the 10. I could hammer on that thing all day long. With the 10 (like any other liter on the market I could have bought) I tiptoe through my entire ride.
