GSXR has been the dominate bike on any racing grid in the world since 85, especially in club level racing. They have been the closest out of the box race bike you could buy. Where most manufacturers have built street bikes first, then turned those into race bikes, Suzuki has always started with a race bike, then added lights.

Because GSXR has been a household name since 85, that brand recognition has made them to outsell any other brand. Since most of the public can't be Mladin, at least they can ride the same bike and feel like him.

I've owned all brands, but the Suzuki's just fit me best.

I think since so many people talk about GSXRs, the Squids buy them because they like the attention whether it is positive or negative.

Jeez man. Stir the puddin' a little more why don't you. Nothing wrong with the bike. There's a high percentage of douchebaggery on all makes of two wheeled transports. Not really feelling the gorilla reference. That sounds more like a cruiser stereotype. I've encountered at least as high of an asshat quotient on Ducatis as I have on GSXRs, but it doesn't stop me from liking them and owning several over the years. Plenty of a-hole posertude to go around. But not on this board of course.

You know, I don't always agree with him, but I'll give Morvegil the benefit of the doubt on this one.

I've looked out of curiosity before at the Vindicta MC web page that he belongs to and there are brothers in the club too and everyone certainly appears to be friendly with one another in a racially diverse happy kinda way. Still, a name change from Morvegil to Massengil isn't a big reach if that IS what he meant...

Should I be spending more time at a PP? You seem to be hanging around the guys like to stand by their bikes. I'm sorry my sterotypical Busa differs from yours.

hitting up the PP's is like running flight hours to become a pilot, you have to do it to get your wings. you do want to be cool, dont you?

Ha, no. There's no reason to go to posers point unless you just want to laugh.

I do most of my riding at the track and/or in a parking lot (no not stunting, racing the mini). Stretched bikes with chrome and lights are just the things I see when I'm driving around town. Or at last, moreso than bike setup to actually drag.
