09 fairing kit on 02?

Are there any mods or aftermarket fairings resembling new model bikes on older models? like a 09 r6 fairing kit for an 04 r6? thanks

err..prolly not...the frames/subframes are different, so the mounting points and dimensions are differnt are as well.

it can and has been done, but there isnt really anything that comes as a simple bolt on kit. for example i have seen some old school ('88) gixxers with tails from 01-03, and even some with 04-05 tails.

its generally going to involve some work with a hacksaw and/or a welder, creating new brackets, modifying things like battery trays or rerouting wiring. some people have done it for certain bikes and made write ups complete with pics, allready done the measurements, etc...

other than that you would have to do your measurements and custom fabrication. keep in mind certain frame/fairing combinations just wont be possible. i have seen some people do it and it look great, others have done it and it looks like total garbage, worse than before...

there are better ones out there...just have to search. also...ive never seen anyone do a total conversion...just hybrid designs

One of the biggest problems is the headlights change from year to year. As do the fairing stays and frame shape.

Anything is possible if you have some good fab skills.
