wat u dont see from looking at the vids is the elevation changes..Either going up or coming down. When I 1st rode Mullholland it was buttpucker time - not because of the turns but because of the elevation changes and how it affects ur speed coming into the corners.. But it was a lot of fun!

i'm a relatively new rider.
imo
video 1) dude grabbed front brake
video 2) wet and slick center stripe. looks liked water is running off that wall down the road.
video 3) not sure. looks like the rear wheel just broke loose and loss grip.

I really must be seeing stuff.... I sware the 3rd video in first post if you watch it slowed down you see him pull in the front brake, Maybe it was just the bars turning as he went down?

looks like the rear tired started sliding, which probably freaked him out. look at the new streak mark on the track (my xray vision reveals a streak mark in his pants).

What speeds are these guys taking the turns at? I have yet to have ridden a sport bike but ridden a cruiser for 5yrs.

Are sports bike that more flaky on turns? Or are these crashes due to riders pushing speeds to fast for them to handle?

I am looking at getting a sports bike and these videos are making me question my decision.

Most of those videos showing inexperienced riders on questionable surfaces making stupid decisions.

Sport bikes are designed to be on the edge of stability to increase agility. Get proper instruction. Respect them and nurture your skill level responsibly. If not, we may see a video of you in this thread.

Most likely I would not be seen on this type of thread. I'm a big "respect your bike and know your limitations" kind of person.

I just don't want to have to worry about these types of accidents happening when I'm taking a 30 mph curve at 35 or 40.

Normally they don't. That road has a reputation for eating bikes. The surface color changes, to me, look like water seepage. So you get varying levels of traction through a turn. Beyond that it's just people trying to look cool for the camera.

it is also just that the elevation changes screw with people inexperienced with that road. Just as with anything, know your limitations and you will be in the clear.

and yea, goes to show what showing off gets you.
