He had very little lean angle, actually. He was just hanging off like an ape. Slow, slow, slow.

sounds like he scraped some hard parts??

How exactly can you avoid that crash aside from not actually scraping rearsets?

I can't see the vids, but from past ones, a lot of times at the last second the old habits kick in and they try to turn into the curve.. almost always ends with the front sliding out and low side.

There were quite a few posted from a turn on Mulholland, and numerous of those were just that. Start to run wide, panic and end up turning the front the wrong way and bang.

Hang off more to decrease lean angle or slow the down

Ok, but if you are already going though a turn and you DO scrape... Do you just instantly give up, knowing that you are in an accident. or is there something you can do?

You can do just what I said...hang off more or slow down as soon as you hear scraping. You can adjust your body position while in a turn. practice, practice, practice. If you have the correct body position on a supersport, your knee will touch before any hard parts

Let it scrape, relax, concentrate on looking where you want to go and finish the turn.

I do the same thing before a ride. But I've also been known to watch some WSBK/MotoGP highlights before a ride as well!

The top one he panic'd at the end, thought he was going wide, and turned the wheel left in a typical auto steer reaction... watch the slow mo

Second one the exact same thing. Bad body postion, turning the wheel the wrong way.. you can almost see the panic in her body language as the turn tightens up.

is it possible that in the 2nd and 3rd videos of the original poster that they crached because they slowed down in the middle of the turn after leaning too much and as a result gravity won (vs centrifugal force)?
