Never has problem w insurance paying for an engine at BMW. Once an insurance company paid for me to do a bareblock and 3 rods on a n52(magnesium block) and ended up paying more then an engine exchange. Keep in mind, they will look for a salvage engine w less mileage. So long as the mileage is less then the vehicle mileage warranty applies unless future failure is due to sublet from the initial flooding.

They will also pay for bearing cleaning, brake cleaning, carpet removal and jute replacement, etc etc. Totalling vehicles on BMW would be waterline at the transmission tunnel nearly across the board.

Well its only worth @ $6500 bluebook. We owe 2100 on it. You think it would it be worth it to the insurance company to do all that, or will they total (<spellcheck) it. Also do I get to keep the totaled car if declared so?

To go in an 06 pontiac g6???? No thanks.

Forgot to update. Pontiac dealer in Dickinson said "something was protruding into the engine" I'm assuming it was a rod lol. They are giving us a salvage motor with 42k miles. Should be ready Tuesday.
