Need help!!!!

I just picked up a used 08 CBR 600. I road it around all yesterday then when i got home, I turned the bars to lock it and not it wont unlock! Was unlocking fine then nothing. Any help would be great. Bike has a clean title and no scratches. Only has 1,900 miles.

What he said.....the lock gets stuck sometimes. Try putting a little graphite it to lube up the mechanism.

Tried all that except the lube. So put the lube directly in the key hole? (lets keep this G rated)LOL

some steering locks require you to push down a bit as you turn the key

I'll try the powder graphite. So auto zone will have that? I hope it will work. This bike is super cool and looks great would be a shame not to be able to ride it tomorrow.

I have had 2 bikes that did that from time to time. I have used WD40 in a bind.

You can spray a little down there or just on the key. Its not recommended, but I doubt once is gonna matter. I would apply to the key first.

Careful with that DW40. It might run down into your electronics or cause dust to build/clump up.

Over time wd40 will "cake" up and make it worse that it originally was. I know from experience.

I just did a little, mostly on the key. I used a silicone based spray. Powder graphite was a little tricky to find. Guy a lowes said the silicone was better.
