The stereotypes are just not true.

When shopping for my first ride, every salesman made a point of assuring me I'd be fending off females as soon as I rode off on my sexy new bike.

Truth is it's not girls, its guys. Guys who seem to think my opinion counts more than anyone else's, and that I'm stupid enough to believe anything.

I got this guy who comes to do the landscaping at my job, never fails he asks to take my bike for a spin. Part of me wants to tell him that I'd rather shave my nuts with a frozen, rusty butter knife - but I enjoy bs'ing him right back. He tells me about this Ninja 1000 he used to have; my response is something like:

"So, is that the ZQ-1000, or the RL-1000? No one ever mentions the first part, since it's the only model of ninja ever released in the States. It's a 3-cylinder rotary inboard, barely pushes 200 hp - totally overrated. They're popular because they're less than 700 lbs, great for stunting, especially they introduced the double-wishbone rear fork setup. Now, the British release - only made from '97-'02 - it's got a 5.2 liter with a factory outboard exhaust package, pushes over four hundred ponies & tops out about 280... still won't beat, well, pretty much any Suzuki. Did you have a green one, right? Yeah, that was the US release. You got the slow one. Anyway, I gotta check the freezer, don't forget those hedges around on the side, see ya next week."
